I hope this will be an objective study. I noticed that BP is involved so I will have to keep an eye on the out come to see if the study is covered up by BP. The health of those who tried valiantly to stem the devestation to the Gulf Oil Spill is at stake we owe then the very best research that can be brought to bare on the subject so that treatment can be instant. The mixture of crude and corexit is toxic because of the mix there are other chemical compunds made that the medical feild needs to be aware of.

There is probably a lot more "unseen" damage BP is unwilling to admit to. We have to make sure BP don't blame it to natural causes and wash their hands off.

Larry, I'm learning, if Pew Foundation is involved in any way, red flags automaticly hit the top of the mast. I am seeing bias with everything related to funding from that foundation.

Jane Lubchenco, EDF former VP, Pew Fellow is not telling anyone the truth, and you know how into legitimate data concerning this issue, and the fisheries I am. One thing I notice with suspect data and studies is the constant connection between those that are agenda driven, and who is funding them. Pew Charities is a constant.
My favorite detective in the Deepwater Horizon debacle is BK Lim. I'll bet you a grand he recieves no Pew money, but would also bet, double or nothing, that HIS detractors would get some funding from that source! Its all about money.

I can assure you BK answers to no man save himself. And thats as it should be. Lubchenco and her little hoard of greed monsters will get whats coming to them as long as we keep screaming foul. The reason I was so down on the OIG report is that they kept reffering to suggestions they had made and yet made no refference to anything that had actually been changed. I am sure that the AFF is still being used as a piggy bank. Just as I am sure that a Judge who is being paid from that fund is not going to rock the boat. I also think that the enforcement officers will still be abusing their authority. So you see the report was just so much lip service to quell the fisheries into thinking things are going to change. No They Are Not. JMHO

With BP's money involved we can expect a study simular to Exxon's.I'm sure BP can divert the blame to another cause with the full support of the government agencies.

How far reaching is this study going to go ? Ten miles inland or a hundred miles inland .
Will they be wise enough to expand the study , as the Gulf Stream expands the remaining oil ?
How long will they sit on their finding , before releasing their report ?
How much White Wash will they use ?

All we can do is wait and keep a close eye on this for now. The report should give us a better insight into the integrity of the researchers.

But will the report be true ? Will their study be far reaching enough , to get a true picture ?
Larry , you and others might be tired of my whining about living 300 miles from the gulf .
Sure , we might be safe . But what about the people 100 miles from shore . There does the danger stop . It doesn't stop 100 feet from waters edge . I'm sorry , I'm an un-trusting soul .
While B P and the government have said thing at every turn , we question as being true .
I'm like most people , It will be a long time before I let my guard down . Good or bad , tell me the truth .

I just don't understand today's values . When I was growing up . I was tough "a man is as good as his word ". Now I pride myself in my word .
How can we trust the people who are in charge of our very lives to tell the truth . To stand before the nation and world , and say there is no problem , one day , then the next day reverse what they say .
As I was getting on line , I saw an article where they're going to teach the fisherman how to detect oil in the fish . But last week they were saying the fish are safe .
Must I say if ? Somewhere there is a lie in this . Please , please tell the truth . If thing are bad , tell us .

#5 - Tue Sep 28, 2010 5:04 AM EDTJMO But it seems to me that todays individual has lost the ability to follow issues to their ultimate end. Somewhere along the thought process they hit a point where they say to themselves, "well if it doesn't impact me directly then no harm no foul", I can only surmise that it is just to much to expect people to think about something so far removed from their day to day self serving lives. They just can't imagine how the destruction of the rain forest could have any real impact on someone living so far away. The spill in the Gulf of Mexico couldn't possibly visit any effect on them after all it is the Gulf of Mexico. It is amazing but it appears that people in general have reduced their world to a circumference of just 12 feet, and if it doesn't happen within that 12 feet it can't possibly effect them.
So we (you & I) have to keep putting the information we can out here in the hopes that just one more person will see it and finally get the message. I believe if we give up then there is no hope at all.

I'm going way off subject . But your last comment , got my mind to thinking in another direction .
The words you used , set me off to thinking about a problem I've been trying to resolve , for over a year .
I think about many things . But mostly in the area of renewable energy .
The two word you used "Thought Process " hit me in the head , like a 2" x4".
Simple solutions , is what I keep looking for . One of them , I've been trying to find a way to use kinetic energy , and something I saw just a few moment ago and you two word gave me the answer. JUMP ROPES , that is the answer. Things that move all the time , could be harness to give off energy . Things no one else is looking at .
I could give you a big hug , and you know not why .
Oh, How I wish I was an engineer . We wouldn't have an energy problem .
Back to your comment . Your correct the media has brain washed most people to turn a blind eye to everyday problems . Like the old Mad magazine slogan " What me worry" Don't ask me to worry about anything . We must worry about this problem . It's much , much bigger than they want us to think about . This problem is subject to spread world wide .

We live in such a brainless society . Everything they think ,comes from the 6:00 PM news
You start talking to them , and they know everything from the news . They can't say anything without adding "You know " to everything they say. But you ask them a question , and they'll say "What ever" as an answer.
Sometimes I get mad at myself for spending so much time ,. Trying to dig through all the lies to get to the truth . I count on you and many others to bring me the truth . Last week , I felt compelled to post a comment , thanking the ones who post the truth . I doubt you saw the comment . But I would like to extend that thanks to you also .
I went back to your web link and saw all the different subjects you follow and post . I also read what you said about yourself . My D.O.B. is 8-18-47 .So we're the same age . I thank you for serving our country . I had an industrial accident 5-22-67 that kept me out of the service . The very next day , I got my draft notice .God had a plan for me . I don't know if I served out his plan ,but I'm willing to do as he wants me to do .
About that idea I commented about . Think about all the little things a modern soldier might need power for . Using body movement as in kinetic energy could save them from having to carry battery's . This idea goes far,far beyond this . I've got to go back and study , the ways they are trying to use wave energy . It has been some time since I've put any thought in that area.
If I had time . I would like to go back and read and comment on some of the articles you've posted . They look like they would make me think . It's time to get ready for work . I'll be checking back in later .

Ron, I have been reading your comments. You look like the kind of fellow we can depend on to dissect the words out of those "politicians" and see the truth / contradictions in their words. I look forward to reading more of your comments.
Regarding renewable energy, there are a lot more we can harness. The oil companies want us to remain shackled to the dependence on oil. We should start a group on eco-friendly geological solution to this which will also alleviate flooding and overcome the drought/fire problems. It is a 5 in 1 solution. Just beats me why govt bodies I wrote to were not interested. Maybe I am writing to the wrong people.

It might give you a little more detail to think on . It just came together yesterday . I got the idea from a shock absorber M I T had invented over a year ago . It got me thinking about kinetic energy .I never tell all about my ideas .I just give hints of them , but try and make people think.
This idea could be as small . To charge a cell phone , or very big where there isn't any sun light or little wind .I've even though of where there is a small amount of wind but not enough to turn a turbine . Create kinetic energy from the small gust of wind .
I have about twenty ideas . I've been reading and watching solar energy for fifty years . I need to change their way of thinking about the application of solar energy . I want to build thousands of solar farms .
I hope this gives you something to think about .

I feel rather foolish right now . I went to your web link to see who you are .
Your an engineer . I'll bet you have a vast knowledge of kinetic energy and how the earth produces it , on a grand scale . What your might watch takes a thousand years to move .
I need something that moves all the time . Things you can't put a drive shaft or wheel to .
Something like a spring board . I wish I could tell you what I would like to do with that energy .
I work nights . I come home and turn on the computer . I sit down and read when sleep read when sleep . It's time to get away from here and sleep in bed ,not this chair

No RON. I am not an engineer by profession. No need to feel foolish because of some standards imposed on us since thousands of years ago and we never know why.
Every good idea and invention had been ridiculed before they are finally accepted. We see a lot of kinetic energy going to waste. I see no reason why the car absorber cannot be designed to incorporate a mini-generator. Imagine having a hydroelectric power station at every river mouth instead of building expensive dams which destroys the environment and flood good forest land. We can have more energy than we ever need. We harness energy where we can get it. Not artificially creating it because then you have a high cost of input or source materials. We also need to generate energy where it is needed since transport cost will negate the economics.

I haven't a whole lot of time to make a long reply . If you'll go down to a comment I made to Bore Head #7.6 , maybe it can give you a little more understanding of who I am . The shock absorber idea of theirs was just a seed to make me think . When I saw it . I wanted to shout out loud
"You don't know what you have ". It took another seed to drop in place , to remind my of the idea .
My first big idea came , in Nov 2008 . While watching 60 Minutes . The idea pertains to hydroelectric power . It started on the smallest scale and after thinking about the returns . The idea got much bigger . You might have to use water to move water to use water to get the power . Go back and read and think about what the Romans did , when they built the aqueducts . That was 3,000years ago . We can learn from them . The utility company just replaced the aqueduct down our street . Now , does that make you think ? It's not as simple as I first thought . But I didn't stop thinking .

this is gonna be a behemoth and mother of all studies ....wow ...where does a world start...with multiple hypothesis and i hypothesize that : what will be the effect of fallout of the workers to fallout of harm contained within the water, marsh ,marine life...And how will it replicate defectivly into generations to come at the dna and rna and transfer rna level...and how do we stop replication of harm at the allelle level of the majority of life so as to slowdown the swiftness of which the fallout from this unprecedented behemoth spill will cause to all...

honestly eventually it will be sea to shining sea....i never will forget the spin doctors early on calling it ...........a spill of significance......OMG!!! How about a gusher of epidemic pandemic biblical proportion !!! A spill of significance.....where do the spin doctors come up with this crapola as workers in haz mat suits keeling over from toxicity and dolphins floating dead and crabs blacked on the inside with sludge and the gulf is black as soot !!! And the waves are spreading it all over !!!! And jaque cousteaus son and expert teams are in shock and despair and know the real deal......Oh gosh is this sad......im still not believing the spill is not still occuring........does anyone really believe the spill of significance is plugged to the max?

What do you know about the Cap and Tread , or as others call it Cap and Tax bill ? This legislation will be the most destructive moves ever made . Not only to our nation ,but the world
It has already been enacted in other parts of the world .
Its only a tax grab from every body . They'll sell it as a clean up of industry . But everyone will pay for it . The cost is more than we can afford .
This is one of my driving forces with my clean renewable energy ideas . One of the main reasons I just put hints of my ideas here to read , is the fact . I'm thinking in other directions
I could save industry billions in taxes and fines . Those taxes and fines will have to be paid by you and me . They can't absorb the cost . You and I must do that .

I read this the first time you posted it . What is why I ask you the question . What you knew about Cap and Tax Bill . Al Gore is one of the first ones who started this years ago . Just like the fact you turned me around , to know the truth about the fishing industry . It took me some time to learn the truth about this subject . Its another Big , Big lie . Just like the Big Big lie their telling about the fishing industry .
Taking this to its extreme . The vent pipe coming out of the top of your house . Every time you flush a turd , they'll fine you for polluting the air we breath . That will be 50 cents please . I hope this is just a joke and never happens .

It would serve no purpose to say "I told you so ". I'm just at loose of words .
B P will try and tell us , they did the best they could . Sure , picking up one bucket of tar balls at a time , Was going to save the world .
The gulf bottom is 1 mile deep . We've got to find a way to dredge the 2 inches of oil off the bottom of miles and miles of the gulf floor .
Correct me if I'm wrong . When they give figures on a fish kill , there are many,many more not counted .
They can't count the live ones . How well you know that fact . This is what keeps your blood pressure up everyday . How do we expect them to tell the truth now . Watch, they'll say this has set the fishing industry back 20 years.
For someone who didn't have anything to say . I sure ran my mouth off .
